Letting Things Go!

Letting things go
By: Aymee Rodriguez

This week I faced a very great personal challenge. I made a
decision to let go of several of my material trinkets that
meant a great deal to me. I deemed it necessary to reinvest
the monies raised by their sale into expanding my practice.

At some point in our lives, we are faced with the
discomfort of having to let go of a particular material
item such as a watch, car,or anything else that may hold
some sort of material value for us,

It is important to understand that while attachment is part
of the human experience, we must be willing to embrace it,
be with it and let it go.

After I cried and worked through my grief, I made a great
few discoveries about the things I let go of. The first
being that I no longer felt the need to own these things
and I am grateful to have enjoyed them for the period of
time that I did.

Secondly, that it was indeed time to let them go because I
had outgrown the reasons WHY I had purchased them in the
first place.

Thirdly, I understood that I am giving someone else the
opportunity to enjoy these things as much as I did at one
point and finally, I realized that by letting go of the
old, we open new space for things that are truly better
than what we used to have.

Today I feel as if my spiritual growth has reached a new
level. I no longer feel so attached to my “things” and
understand that the Universe is in a constant state of
“flux”.

Possessions are an illusion, we do not possess anything.
All things physical come and go. True self-mastery comes
when we understand this concept and learn to flow with it
rather than to resist.

Lesson of the week: Let it Go! Attachment to material
things is futile. Everything follows a natural entropic
state and nothing in the physical realm lasts forever, NO
THING!

Affirmation: “I am willing to lovingly release the past,
and welcome the flow of fresh energy into my experience”

Love, Light and Infinite Blessings
