Most of us believe that money is what makes a person wealthy. I certainly believed that for most of my adult life.

It certainly seems easier for someone with loads of cash to start a new business, hire new people, get a new car etc but its not necessarily the truth.

In order to give you a better idea as to what I’m talking about, I would like to tell you a little story about two men. By the way, the story is true although I have changed some of the names and details.

A Tale of Two Men

Once upon a time there lived a Real Estate Tycoon by that owned a good portion of New York City his name was Don.

While Don was not the richest man in the world, or even in The United States, he was pretty wealthy.

In the late 1980’s through a series of mishaps, Don had lost EVERYTHING! It’s estimated that his PERSONAL debt was calculated at a staggering 900 million dollars.

Now, let’s turn to George. George was a simple man who had worked hard most of his life  and finally managed to pay off his trailer.

George didn’t have a whole lot of money, but he was settled into his life and had little debt.

One day George got lucky and hit the powerball lotto Jackpot. The prize, a whopping 283 million dollars.

He went out and bought expensive houses, cars, furs and all the toys that money can buy. He gave each one of his children a few million dollars, and helped out other friends and extended family with bills.

All sorts of people came out of the woodwork to ask George for money, and he gave freely, as he had so much to give.

Now that you know a bit about Don and George, let’s fast forward 10 years…

Don’s net worth is a staggering 3 billion. Don’t forget a mere 10 years ago he was negative almost 1 billion dollars.

George, on the other hand not only managed to squander away all of his winnings, but can no longer even afford the trailer he had paid off. He started drinking and has been plagued by a string of family tragedies.

So then, if money is what makes a person wealthy, then how does a man that is 900 million dollars in debt, manage to comeback by gaining back three times the amount he lost, while a man that is worth 283 million dollars, manage to wind up worse off that he was before he ever had money?

The answer is Money  does not make you wealthy.  Money is merely a by-product of being wealthy.

9 Keys to Uncover your Wealth in Any Economy will teach you how to do just that!
